A laptop that turns into a tablet is useful when your day moves between typing, presenting, reading and taking notes. The HP OmniBook X Flip 14 makes that flexibility its main attraction, with a 360-degree hinge, a vivid 14-inch OLED touchscreen and an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor. Its Meteor Silver aluminum design keeps the system compact, while 16GB of onboard memory and a 1TB SSD provide a strong foundation for everyday productivity.
The Intel Core Ultra 7 355 features 8 cores and 8 threads, with boost speeds up to 4.7GHz and 12MB of L3 cache. It handles office applications, multitasking, browsing, video calls and general productivity with ease.
For supported AI applications, the integrated Intel AI Boost NPU delivers up to 49 TOPS. This dedicated neural processing unit can accelerate compatible AI tasks locally, while integrated Intel Graphics handles display output, video playback and everyday graphics workloads. This laptop is designed for productivity and mobility rather than demanding games that require a dedicated graphics card.
The 14-inch display has a 1920 × 1200 resolution, OLED technology and multitouch support. Its 16:10 aspect ratio gives documents and webpages more vertical room than a traditional 16:9 screen. With 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, 300-nit brightness and a 0.2ms response time, the panel delivers rich colors and crisp detail for entertainment, browsing and visual work.
Corning Gorilla Glass 3 covers the touchscreen, and the micro-edge design gives the display a more expansive appearance. The panel operates at 60Hz.
The 360-degree hinge allows the OmniBook X Flip to switch between laptop, tablet, tent and reverse modes. Use it as a conventional laptop for writing and office work, fold it into tablet mode for touch navigation, or stand it in tent mode for watching video and presenting content. Touch input is built in; a compatible HP stylus is optional rather than included as standard.
The system includes 16GB LPDDR5x-7467 memory in a dual-channel arrangement. The memory is soldered onboard, with no accessible RAM slots, so it cannot be upgraded after purchase. Choosing the right capacity at the time of purchase is therefore important.
Storage is handled by a 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, offering room for documents, applications, photos and downloaded media, alongside fast boot and application-loading times.
Despite its slim chassis, the OmniBook X Flip offers two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports for high-speed peripherals, compatible external displays and charging. Both support USB Power Delivery 3.1, DisplayPort 2.1 and HP Sleep and Charge.
Ports: 2 × Thunderbolt 4 USB-C (40Gbps), 2 × USB-A (10Gbps), 1 × HDMI 2.1 and 1 × 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack.
Wireless: Wi-Fi 7 (2×2) and Bluetooth 6.0. There is no built-in RJ-45 Ethernet port, so wired network connections require a compatible USB-C or USB adapter.
The 5MP infrared camera supports HDR auto-switching and temporal noise reduction, helping improve image quality during video calls. The IR camera also supports Windows Hello facial recognition. Integrated dual-array digital microphones capture your voice, while a physical camera privacy shutter and dedicated microphone-mute key offer quick privacy controls.
Dual speakers tuned by Poly Studio, with DTS:X Ultra and HP Audio Boost, provide sound for meetings, videos and music. The full-size backlit keyboard makes typing easier in dim environments, and the HP Imagepad supports everyday navigation and gestures.
A 59Wh, 3-cell lithium-ion polymer battery powers the laptop. HP quotes up to 20 hours of mixed-use battery life, up to 32 hours and 30 minutes of local video playback, and up to 16 hours of wireless streaming under its specified test conditions. Actual runtime varies with brightness, applications, network use and workload.
The included 65W USB-C GaN power adapter is compact for travel. HP Fast Charge can bring the battery to approximately 50% in 45 minutes when the laptop is shut down and charged with the supported adapter.
