Inside, you’ll find 32 GB LPDDR5x RAM soldered on a dual-channel setup and a blazing-fast 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, often using high-endurance drives capable of 6 GB per second read and 5 GB per second write speeds.

Display, Audio & Visuals

This model features a 16-inch 2K OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, vivid color reproduction, sharp contrast, and wide viewing angles. While IPS models exist in the series, the OLED variant is especially rich in visual detail. The laptop also includes Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, though some users note they lack loudness and presence.

Design & Thermal Performance

Housed in an all-aluminum shell just 17.5 mm thick and weighing roughly 1.9 to 1.94 kg, the Pro 5 strikes a clean, portable profile. Despite the sleek design, thermals lean toward the warm side. In sustained GPU usage the top bezel gets hot as heat is exhausted near the screen, and fans can get loud under load. The hinge design is also flagged by several users as a potential concern, though not a dealbreaker.

Unlike its Slim 5 counterpart, this model includes a full suite of high-speed I/O. You get USB-A ports including one Always-On, a USB-C Gen 2x2 port with power delivery and DisplayPort 2.1 support, a Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 port also with PD and DP support, HDMI 2.1 for external 4K displays, a full-size SD card reader, a headphone and mic combo jack, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

Performance Reality

With its 90 W RTX 4050, the laptop surpasses many mainstream designs, often outperforming even some RTX 4060 configurations found in larger laptops while occupying a significantly thinner chassis. GPU scores in Balanced mode see only a minor drop from Performance mode, with CPU benchmarks remaining largely unaffected. Users report that on Balanced mode it's quieter and reasonably cool, though ramping up to Performance mode increases fan noise and heat output slightly.

Battery Life & Mobility

Equipped with an 84 Wh battery, the Pro 5 delivers excellent longevity during light loads, reaching up to 11 to 13 hours of video playback or web browsing in efficiency modes. Under gaming or heavy GPU use, battery endurance diminishes noticeably, which is a normal tradeoff given the high-performance 90 W graphics.
